Rang Rasiya: A Cultural Hub

Rang Rasiya is more than just a venue; it is a cultural sanctuary that brings together artists, performers, and audiences to celebrate the richness of Indian folk dance. Located in the Seattle area, Rang Rasiya hosts a variety of events, workshops, and performances that highlight the diversity of Indian culture.

Color, Costumes, and Community: What to Expect

Walking into your first Garba session can feel like stepping into a whirlwind of color. From the intricate mirror work of the Chaniya Choli to the rhythmic beat of the Dhol, it’s a full sensory experience.

But here’s a secret: You don’t need to be a pro to belong. At Rang Rasiya, we welcome everyone.

  • What to wear: While we love the traditional Kediyu and Chaniya Choli, for our weekly classes, just bring comfortable workout gear and a water bottle!

  • The Vibe: We start with the basics (the two-hop and six-step) and build up the energy as the night progresses.

  • The Goal: To "Celebrate with Community." No matter your skill level, there is a place for you in our circle.

Workshops and Classes

For those interested in learning the art of Gujarati dance, Rang Rasiya offers workshops and classes led by experienced instructors. These sessions cater to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers. Participants can learn the intricate footwork, hand gestures, and rhythms that define each dance form, gaining a deeper appreciation for the cultural significance behind the movements.
